Hello Thushy,

It sounds like you may have detailed verbose status messages enabled. Double check using the tutorial below to make sure it's disabled.

Detailed Status Messages - Logon, Logoff, and Shutdown

Hope this helps,

Are you getting a "User profile failed to load" type error message?

For example, if you are being logged in to a temporary account.

For now, you might see if doing a system restore using a restore point (if available) dated before this started may be able undo and fix this for you.

What's the name of this account? Is it something like "Temp" or "Administrator".

You might go ahead and do the system restore if able.

That would be your built-in elevated Administrator account. If you still have your account and signed in to it, then you could disable the "Administrator" account to no longer see it if you like.

When support for XP ends this April, I can understand that no further Security/Enhancement updates will be coming down the pipe. My question is this - If I have to reload my Windows XP SP1 system, will updates prior to April 2014 still be available to download & install. IE: Sp2, Sp3 etc. Or does...
