    Making temporary files permanent?

Hello, I just spent the last 6 hours downloading a huge file on my very crappy internet connection. Unfortunately I clicked open with and not save to disk. I do not want to spent time again downloading these files and I am already at my bandwidth cap for this month.

May someone please tell me if it is possible at all to make files in the temp folder permanent?

    Thank You.

Welcome to Seven Forums Mike. Are you using IE? If so:

Open Internet Explorer> Tools> Internet Options> General tab> Browsing history> Settings> View files> Right click on the file you want to save and click Copy> Right click where you want to save it (Desktop for instance) and choose Paste

This should paste the file to your desktop where it will be permanent. Assuming you have not deleted temp files before posting

If not IE, let us know what browser and we'll give instructions. A Guy
