    You could change the 1 to a 0 . Go to the registry

    Click on type in regedit inside right click on REGEDIT and select navigate to

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer

    On the right hand side locate NoActiveDesktopChanges right click and select modify . Change the 1 to 0 and click Ok ? Close the registry .

    Do you think it is a good idea if we can't figure this out to do that clean install, and is it fairly easy to do?

    Yes . Lets leave reinstalling Windows to the end . Installing Windows is easy to do . Our own gregrocker created a great tutorial .

    Does it pop up randomly or whenever you start the PC and get to the desktop ?

    Lets see something

    Open SystemLook and inside the box paste this in


    :reg
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run


    Click on the Look button and upload the txt file SystemLook.txt

    just now i closed it and it kept coming back about 6 times, it stopped for 5 seconds then came back. Some times it will have like 3 or 4 on top of each other
