    Restore unallocated space

I tried to make another partition on my hard disc. while doing the process i got a message "you cannot create a new volume in this unallocated space because the disk already contains maximum number of partitions".

now what happened is i didn't get the hard disc partitioned and more i lost the allocated space in my hard disc. please help resolve the issue.

Hello Anoop, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you like, you could use either method in the tutorial below to create a logical partition from the unallocated space instead.

Partition / Extended : Logical Drives

    Hope this helps, :)

If you already have four Primary partitions you'll have to convert one non-System partition to Logical before you can add any more adjacent Logicals. How to set partition as Primary or Logical.

Best to post back a screenshot of Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image , tell us what you want to do and where and we'll provide a solution for you.
