Windows explorer stops responding and some other issues.

If this is the inferior factory preinstall then I'd back it up and do the vastly superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. Everything is provided in the blue link tutorial. Stick with the tools and methods given and you'll get and keep a perfect install.

With Dells you'd want to delete the Recovery partition during install, but save the OEM Tools partition if it will still boot and run Dell Diagnostics Utility - How to Run the . I'd run that first to see.

Until you can get the best install I'd Clean Up Factory Bloatware especially establishing a Clean Boot and the other steps to clean up the crapware which freeloading on your startup.

If this isn't sufficient work through the Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 doing the Malwarebytes scan, AV scan replacing any bloatware AV with recommended MSE, test hardware using Dell Diagnostics Utility - How to Run the or the other tools recommended, use the System Resources to check logs, problem solutions queued, etc.

If all else fails you can determine with certainty what's delaying startup by Gathering a Startup, Shutdown, Sleep, Hibernate, or Reboot Trace - Windows 7 Forums

If you install and run free Startup Delayer from r2 Studios, then Reboot your computer, look at SD which has a Running Tasks tab--this enables you to sort by every task's Start Time. Follow along on the start times until you find program(s) that are taking an inordinate amount of time to load.

This software has allowed me to find some pretty hairy problems with boots/times.

EDIT: I just found that it SEEMS that the free version of Startup Delayer, which at the time of this posting is Version 3 build 337, may not allow one to activate the Start Time column, as if (maybe) they decided this would be a Paid feature. In any case I reverted to build 333 which doesn't have this limitation. It does appear that older versions are still available in various places for download.

(not the first time iv had problems and already gone through one with warranty)

hey guys thanks for all the info. there was alot of junk on my computer starting up all at the same time upon start up. after checking the MSCONFig and after uninstalling alot of them and getting rid of a few other things that i dont use any more the start up is a little better now. (more tolerable atleast.) sorry for the late reply and i still did what you guys suggested to be safe and it all checked out fine. thanks again for the help.

Thanks for your reply. Its great to hear it seems to be working alot better now.

You should run malware bytes to ensure that system is free from infection. And also it would be advise to make a backup of your data as it would beneficial in future when clean reinstall would be required on the system.
