Windows 7: Search won't work

Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bits 7601 Multiprocessor Free Service Pack 1
 
 
Search won't work

In the file explorer you'll find two search options.
one is the large bar which is ok.
The small one is used to find for instance individual pictures.
That last one won't work anymore for unknown reasons..

Wow that's odd
I just typed the solution and it disappeared with posting.

Indexing wasn't running.

Open Contrl Panel / Programs/ Programs and features/ Windows features on or off
Select indexing service and let it run for some minutes.
Nothing seems to happen the first minutes.

But after complition all was running well.
