Windows 7 64bit Custom Built PC restarts on its own(No BSOD)

I've recently custom built a computer and installed windows 7 home basic 64bit edition. The parts of the computer seem fine, the fans are working properly, but the computer sometimes restarts on its own without a BSOD or an error code.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Hi,

Firstly please install Windows Service Pack 1 as it will increase system stability.
Then once installed please run Windows Updates and install all the latest updates.

http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows7/install-windows-7-service-pack-1
http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows/service-packs-download#sptabs=win7

Try re-seating the RAM, ensure they are free from dust, and seated properly.

Then.

Run memtest. Run for 8 passes and test each stick in a know good slot for an additional 6 passes.

Tip   Tip
Run these tests overnight, pay particular attention to #3 in tutorial if errors occur

Also run chkdsk in an elevated command prompt in order to check for file system errors and bad sectors on your HDD:
  • Click on Start>Type in search cmd
  • Right click cmd and Run as Administrator
  • At the command prompt please type: chkdsk /f/r
(There is a space between chkdsk and /f/r)
Chkdsk Tutorial

Post back any results.

Cheers

Also, make sure that W7 is configured to display a BSOD and not go into automatic reboot when an error occurs. This should enable you to see any BSOD and get some idea about the causes...... How To Disable the Automatic Restart on System Failure in Windows 7
