Windows 7: Folders hidden, with padlock symbol, after being copied to C:

Do not run disk check on an SSD. It causes unnecessary writes to the drive, reducing its life.
SSD's are different than hard disk drives. SSD's automatically remap worn bits using wear leveling technology. Check disk would do nothing.
The partitioning and MFT are not the same as a standard magnetic drive.

The SSD controller takes care of it all. You also should never defrag one.

This is what I have understood anyway from what I have found online.

Question: What do you see on the security tab when you right click the folder and go into properties? What rights do users/admin have?

Let me post some screenshots. The folder has a little blue symbol. I don't know what it means. It doesn't, despite appearances, seem to mean 'read only', since that would require the radio-button to be checked with a tick arrow. This is different, and as a practical matter the folder is being written to. I know that, because I can read the mail after it has arrived.

Did you copy the data into the data folder from an external source? If you have the data backed up on an external drive or disc try deleting the Eudora Data folder then recreate it, copy the data onto another internal drive (not the C: drive) then copy it to the C: drive from there.

I'll try that. On the other hand, I wonder if it matters that the folders are hidden. I'm just curious as to what it might mean.

It probably doesn't matter. But I do know that some programs do this for the sake of keeping people from accidentally deleting things. I know a couple of developers that have done this. Also the lock usually scares them from doing anything to it ha.

The Blue symbol on Read only is normal doesn't mean it's read only for the user you have selected only for other users,
The Security screen shot,
Click on System take another screen shot,
Then click on Each user of Matthew and take one for each one.
Click on Advanced on the bottom,
Permissions - Allow or Deny Users and Groups

Some interruption of focus, sorry!

I haven't yet tried Boozad's copy/paste solution.

Meanwhile, here are the screenshots which ThashZone requested. Every user folder has "¤nclude inheritable permissions from this object's parent" checked.

Okay (MatthewPC/Matthew) has no check marks and might be what's causing the lock symbols,
Show me please the same screen shot I posted,
Hopefully it will show Allow next to each users name and the exact same number of users.

Here you are. I took another couple screenshot as well because the Users\MatthewPC pattern seemed maybe odd. But maybe not.

All the other folders have "allow"ticks against all items, just this one is different.

The following is also maybe odd. There seems to be a contradiction between the permissions for the CREATOR/OWNER folder as stated in different views. Also, the administrator folder is the only one with the ticks in bold.

Why some files/folders have Padlock and some don't?
How come some folders/files have Padlock whereas the majority don't? I created some GHOST images of my OS drives of both PC (both running Pro X64 RTM). Those GHOST images were created OUTSIDE of Windows, using GHOST 2003 USB DOS version.
