Sounds like you may have some leftovers in your boot loader
Linux uses GRUB which i believe takes dominance over win 7 boot files (depending on which you installed first)

Please can you post a shot of your maximised disk management window
    Start>diskmgmt.msc>enter

Also check the boot tab in msconfig for any entries

TBH i havent seen that exact fault before, i am assuming it is grub problem which if it is you could try a repair from windows disk to see if it finds any issues with startup or failing that command prompt entry of these two should remove grub
    bootrec/fixmbr
    bootrec/fixboot

but as i said that is if that is the problem so may be best to wait for others opinions first

Usually a Linux boot loader install saves the MBR someplace. When you uninstall the Linux boot loader, it should put it back the way it was. The fly in the ointment is usually caused by deleting Linux rather than removing the boot loader properly. You might find a quick fix on a Linux/Grub forum. The original MBR is probably saved someplace. You might be able to undelete the Linux partition to get it back. Just copy it over the current MBR.
