Cannot access folder location to which file may have been sent

I had a text file that listed all the choral music sheets I had amassed over the years. It was held under my user library. Now I cannot locate it, but wonder, if by senior moment inadvertence it has got else where.

I am unable to open the folder where I think it may be (see attachment for details). Please, how do I go about getting the folder to open?

The default location for the public music folder is C:\Users\Public\Music. I would try and see if you can open that folder instead of the "users\public\documents\my music" folder.

xunile makes a good point and possibly this might clear up any navigation issues,

Sorry for not coming back sooner, but other more pressing things intervened.

I managed in the end to change the permissions, but the item wanted was not found. One thing i noted was that the pop reads "\user\public\documents\" but the actual is "\users\public\public documents\". Found there is a short cut to My music.

I am thinking that maybe I ought to revert to the system's default settings, as I have a feeling that bits and pieces may have got disturbed when computer was away for repair in the spring.

Hmmm... in as much as I've managed to access the location, yes! But the difference between the pop up wording and actual path is puzzling.
