    Bootmgr problem

I had Vista installed on C: and a blank partition at D:.
I used Macrium Reflect Pro to clone C: to a file on another partition (E:) then restored it to D:.

I have now deleted the C: partition and have done a clean install of Windows 7 Pro to C:.

However, when I look at the BCD file using VistaBootPro, the detailed view shows that bootmgr is accessing the bcd file on D:.

How can I move the bcd file to C:? I want to run a repair on the Vista partition on D: so that I have it available.

    Regards

    Doug

You are in Win 7 on C right now.

Open an elevated command prompt and type:

    bcdboot c:\windows /s c:

    press enter

In Disk Management, rt click C and Mark as active.

    Restart.

    You will boot into 7.

You could install VBPro there and add a Vista entry.

    That's it.

    Hope it helps
