!SASCore service running all the time, not running Superantispyware?

Found the the above service was running all the time and I only occasionally use SuperSpyware AntiSpyware as a standalone scan. This is solely as backup check to my Antimalwarebytes Pro. May I stop and disable it, and how would I remove it entirely?
    Thanks

In SAS Preference turn off Automatically Start with Windows, and Automatically Check for Updates.

Then in msconfig>Startup and >Services (after Hiding all MS Services) uncheck SAS Core Service. You shouldn't have anything checked there anyway except your AV, any sync, gadgets or stickies.

    Most Munificent Gregg,
Thank you kind Sir for responding!! Unfortunately, following the instructions twice, it did not work. It states it requires a restart after the unchecking, and when I get back in and look in task manager, it is still showing as disabled.
What could I have done wrong? Thanx

    Hello Sir George,
Since I use it as a stand alone checker, I didn't realize that as you noted. I would have to uninstall it and reinstall the free version each time, or have that process running. It is currently uninstalled.
    Thanks

If you uncheck Start with Windows and Check for Updates on the Preferences General and Update tab, then it will after reboot not start with Windows.

What is the problem if Task Manager says Disabled? You want it disabled.

Does it appear in msconfig>Startup and >Services after Hiding all MS Services? Uncheck it there if it's not already after the reboot.

    Hello Sir,
I didn't understand why it showed up. Now I do. I will be doing a check and when I do I will leave it. I can live with the disabled service! Thanks as always!
