Windows update KB890830 and my windows login

Something strange has happened to my laptop since yesterday. I normally hibernate my laptop and about once per week shut it down. Upon rebooting I have noticed two strange things:-

1). When I log in I get the following message: "You have been logged on with the default profile for the system. Please see the event log for details".

Ack, what has happened. I am using my log in and password and it's being accepted, but now I appear to be using some kind of system profile and not my users profile. Therefore, all my shortcuts have gone, I can't log into Outlook because that isn't configured. Trying to work out what has gone wrong and why windows is not logging me in as me. I can still see my users directory and all the files.

Any help on the above would be much appreciated since this is my work laptop and I really need to get this fixed ASAP. I am self employed so I don't have an IT department to turn too

2). Windows update (September 2013) KB890830 seems to be in a continuous loop of installing. Right now I can see it has been installed 9 times and another install waiting for a reboot.

    Are the 2 items related?

If anyone can advise me how to resolve these issues I would be very grateful indeed.

Hello Dave, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if doing a system restore at boot using a restore point (if available) dated before you had this issue may be able to quickly fix this for you.

    Hope this helps, :)

    I think Igot the answer.

It is simple like Microsoft re-uses same number for malware removal update,, I mean every time is coming under same KB number because is supposed to auto-delete at reboot.

""How to remove the Malicious Software Removal Tool

The Malicious Software Removal Tool does not use an installer. Typically, when you run the Malicious Software Removal Tool, it creates a randomly named temporary directory on the root drive of the computer. This directory contains several files, and it includes the Mrtstub.exe file. Most of the time, this folder is automatically deleted after the tool finishes running or after the next time that you start the computer. However, this folder may not always be automatically deleted. In these cases, you can manually delete this folder, and this has no adverse effect on the computer.""
