Unable to Delete File From My Documents

I copied an email file (.eml) to My Documents. I don't need it anymore, so I went to delete it. I right-clicked it, and the delete option wasn't there. I've never encountered this before. Does anyone have an idea how I can delete the file or why I am having this problem? Thanks.

    Hello Jim,

Do you have the "Delete" context menu item available with other files?

You might see if you may be able to drag and drop the file into the Recycle Bin to delete it.

Yes, I do. I have the delete context menu available with other files. I tried dragging it to the recycle bin last night, but as soon as the file is over the recycle bin, a red circle appears with a slash through it.

And what happens when you select the file and press the delete key?

    Jim,

In addition, you might see if you may be able to use the free program Unlocker to delete the file.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I ended up going to the old thread linked here, removing the properties from the email, and have successfully deleted the file. Thanks again, guys!
