Jacob can not save pdf file in windows 7

I download free Jacob component online to open Microsoft Word file and save it to pdf file. It is working fine in XP 32 and 64 OS. But is not working on windows 7.
    Errors:
    com.jacob.com.ComFailException: Invoke of: FileSaveAs
    Source: Microsoft Word
    Description: Command failed
    at com.jacob.com.Dispatch.invokev(Native Method)
    at com.jacob.com.Dispatch.call(Unknown Source)

It can save as docx file, but got error to save as pdf file.
Source code is in 32 bit Java (IBM Notes client) and it access jacob.jar, then access 32 bit jacob.dll in 64 bit windows 7.

Any restriction from windows 7 or ,any idea or solution for it ? Or any clue. Thanks
    Gary

Hello Gary and welcome to Seven Forums.

Disclaimer: I know nothing about Jacob. But I found this SourceForge forum thread that may offer some insight as to what Jacob needs to open a Word document and save it as a PDF. My sincerest apologies if this is completely unrelated to your post.

Thanks for your help. I had Java code, basically same as one link you mention. It is working in XP OS, but when I deploy my application in Windows 7. It can't save pdf file. I wonder if adobe in windows 7 is different and has some kind of restriction or need to configure . or windows 7 has some different .... no idea .

Hi Gs7window, welcome to the Seven Forums.

I am sorry if this is something you would not like to hear, but I fail to see the relevance and logics in this?

A Word document can be saved as PDF directly from Word itself, or if the user has not MsOffice / Word the document can be opened for instance with the Writer word processor (part of the free LibreOffice suite) and exported as a PDF file.

I see no reason for any DOC/DOCX to PDF converters as it can be done so easily and hassle free using Writer, if Word itself is not available.

    Hi Kari,
    Thanks for your information.
    Here is logic:
We have Word template and Form/Page. User enter data in Form/Page and click "View/Print". Java Application automatically load Word template and replace "PlaceHolder" inside template with user data. We used 3rd party component called "Jacob" to do it. After then we need to save it to a .docx file or pdf file automatically. User can not see any thing and it is running in background. I guess windows 7 and adobe is different from XP. I may need to do some configuration or "Jacob" component has some bug. Thanks
