Cannot view pictures as thumbnails in my albums

hello All x
I have a problem viewing my pictures as thumbnails.
Everything was ok until a couple of weeks ago and I tried to upload a photo. I could not see the thumbnail in my pictures albums to ensure I was uploading the correct one.
I have tried changing the size etc to no avail.
As i am partially disabled and cannot use my hands effectively this extra work on my fingers is causing me much pain and restricting my ability to use my laptop effectively
Thank you for any assistance you can afford me in this enquiry
God bless x

You can try opening your pictures folder. Click Organize in the top left corner then click Folder and Search options. Click the view tab and see if the "always show icons, never thumbnails" is checked. Uncheck it if it is.

windows 7 32 bit

you should give it a try, i hope it will work great for you

Thumbnails are obviously turned off,
so turn it back on.

go to,

Control panel,
Folder options,
on the view tab. Uncheck, Always show icons, never thumbnails,
click on apply, then click on OK.

also go to system properties,

Control panel,
Advanced system settings,
on the advanced tab, click on settings under performance.
click on the Visual Effects tab,
check the box, show thumbnails instead of icons,
click on apply then on OK
