Desktop is showed in a folder at startup

    Desktop is showed in a folder at startup


    When i start up windows, there is no icons on my desptop. And no taskbar at the bottom.

    Any ideas?

    P.s - Great forum!

    Computer Specs

    Apple Macbook Black (BootCamp)

    4GB Ram

    2.2 Ghz Intel Dual Core Processor

    160GB Hard drive

    What version of Windows 7? Is it the official release or is it an RC/beta/etc? Please update your specs.

    boot into safe mode (F8 repeatedly when booting) se if it happens then

    Hi ZigZag,

    Just booted in safe mode and still the same problem

    its the 7600 build. and it doesnt show my desktop in a folder it shows "My Documents"

    can you use the snipping tool (built in to win 7) by typing snipping in search. use that to tak a screenshot of your desktop and upload it to us.

    Let me know if you need any help with any of this

    Hello Mitchell, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    Umm, something went awry. You might consider doing a repair install to see if it can fix it without losing anything.
