I'm living on a pension that never gets bigger, but my rent and other costs do, so things are tight here too, believe me. If my current computer died I'd probably simply give up on the Internet altogether.

Help me decide if this terrible sound is Coil Whine from PSU?
Sorry, I think I've asked this before - or mentioned somewhere, I'm not sure - but now I've recorded the sound. Please help me decide if this is the PSU's sound or something else - I've watched coil whine videos and mine sound much lower pitched than theirs. Here's a video on YT where you can...

LCD Screen Whine
Okay, so my LCD monitor has been whining when I first turn it on, but once I get a display from my computer, the whining stops. This has been happening maybe about half a month to a year after I bought it back when I was in high school. The monitor is still good and still awesome, however I do...

Corsair HX750 PSU coil whine after PC shut down
My Corsair HX750 PSU has the tendency to "whine" after I shut down my computer. It's very irritating and I need to turn off the PSU from the back for the whining to stop. It doesn't whine whilst my computer is turned on. Would/could this be covered under warranty and would I get a replacement...

Coil Whine worrying me....
Hey! My Graphics card emits a squeaky noise that stops sometimes and then resumes some time afterwards. I have found it's a coil whine and that it's normal. Is this true. Have I anything to worry about? And will it cause my system to crash? Thanks! :D

PSU/GPU Whine and/or Squeal
Since upgrading my 8800 GTX to the GTX 285, my PC has been emitting a high pitched squeal or whine when running intensive 3D applications. Crysis and 3DMark Vantage are the worst, though the issues is almost non-existant in older games (see: Halo). By listening to the PC, it seems that the whine is...
