    Quick Q about my HDD

I downloaded Windows 7 and Im ready to install. Im upgrading from Home Premium Vista to Windows 7 Professional.

Obviously my C: will be completely wiped on the clean install, but what about my D: drive. I believe it is a partition. Will this get wiped too, or will my data stay on it?

The installer is very smart. It doesn't mess with anything it doesn't need to so there is absolutely no worries. Your D:\ drive will be perfectly fine and usable upon the upgrade and retain all data.

You are correct. Only the partition is wiped. D: will be fine. But you should be backing up your data. Dont worry about a backup now.

Good luck and let us know if you need help
