From what I've read, classpnp.sys is a hardware problem.

First I'd purchase another hard drive, remove the problematic one and replace it with the new one. Perform a clean install of Windows 7 following the tutorial linked, that will give you and let you keep a perfect install.
Once you're up and running you should be able to plug your original HDD in and access your files that way. If you have problems accessing the drive with it installed internally you could try a caddy, they're fairly cheap and should give you access to your files.

When you're all done be sure to make a backup of all your files, preferably to a different internal HDD (a new one, don't use the problematic one as it's obviously bad and you may risk losing your backups) or an external HDD. Also it would be beneficial to image your system in it's prime working state, Macrium Reflect is an excellent free utility for this.

Work through these steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start
starting with the hardware tests in the introduction since they are indicated.

The steps sequence the order which repairs need to be run, since hardware must be confirmed first, then check for infection since the OS may not repair until disinfected, if then.

Once cleared of infection, the most important thing is to confirm WIn7 or System Reserved (preferred) is Partition Marked Active to run Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times since it won't repair if the correct partition is not Active.

Since you can mark Active using Partition Wizard CD, if you want to skip to those steps using it's CD and include Partition Wizard Rebuild MBR, before doing so post back a camera snap of the maximized PW drive map and listings so we can spot potential problems much more easily for you.

Everything that can possibly be done to start Win7 is compiled in the tutorial, leading up to if necessary rescuiing your files to get a perfect Clean Reinstall . An in-place Upgrade from Vista is often not a good install, so you may also want to skip to that step.

Avoiding '<application name> is not a valid Win32 application' error.
OK, this is admittedly a strange one... I have used an old (probably a 16-bit) application as my time synchronizer this I've used for quite some time. Its name is TimeRC, and is a great synchronizer as it tracks moon phases along with the time (from selectable, multiple potential time servers)....
