    task bar always on top!

back in xp, i used to put on-top things over the taskbar, like the micro player from AIMP2. in 7, however, the on-top-ness of the taskbar seems to override everything else. the player stays on top of the taskbar until i click anywhere on the taskbar, then the player goes behind, and i can only get it out by unlocking and moving the taskbar out of the way.

it's irritating, and i'm here to complain.

    that is all.

sure i do. and the settings keep the window on top of other windows, but it doesn't stay on top of the taskbar. i also tried with the mini-player in Media Monkey, but the same thing happens. also with a small resource monitor app i like. everything jumps under the taskbar now.

not sure what you may mean by "on top of taskbar". If you mean that it doesnt disapear when you click your taskbar, ie; clock or whatever, then not sure what to tell you. I enabled the "topmost" (checkmark) and even in mini mode it stays on top (foremost app) of everything.

may want to try the tedious task of going over steps you may have customized for your taskbar, or any other app you may have installed, possibly window blinds or something to the affect.

I have rocketdock installed but no blinds and really nothing else Icandy wise bsides gadgets. I also have DUmeter installed and also set to "stay on top" and i have no issues with that either.

yes that's what i mean. just a matter of window positioning.

but no matter, i'll just hope the problem fixes itself when i install the next build that surfaces.

i've switched to foobar anyway :)
