Windows 7: Start/All Programs has duplicate folders

Start/All Programs has duplicate folders

My All Users profile shortcuts and Current User profile shortcuts aren't merging into one folder in the start menu's All Programs. There are two of each: Accessories, Administration Tools, and Maintenance folders. I've tried fiddling around with the All Users and Current User Start Menu folders but nothing I do merges the two profiles into one. I've also looked in the Local Group Policies to no avail.

Questions:
  1. What Windows 7 mechanism controls the merging of the All Users and Current User profiles into one folder in the All Programs Start Menu?
  2. What steps should I take to correct this problem?
first time post. Be kind!

Hello and welcome SugarMountain mate may seem rather a daft query but do you need both accounts if not switch the guest one off

I have only one User Account -- the Admin one created by Windows when I first installed Windows 7 Enterprise.

But you gave me an idea. I enabled the Built-in Administrator Account and logged into it to see if that cleared up my problem. It did not. There were still two Accessories folders and two Maintenance folders in the Start Menu's All Programs. When I went into Properties/Customize to display Administrative Tools in the Start Menu, two Administrative Tools folders are displayed.

The All Users profile shortcuts should be merged into one directory with the Current User profile shortcuts. Instead, for example, one Start Menu Maintenance folder contains the All User shortcuts, and the 2nd Maintenance folder contains the Current User profile shortcuts.

Can you also post a shot of the Disk management too please.

Personally I would be interested to see what Partition Wizard came up with when you "Explored" the partitions.
