    Installing to Program Files(x86)

Is there a way to change the default install path? It keeps wanting to install everything to C:\Program Files(x86) instead of C:\Program Files Thanks in advance

Program Files(x86) is for 32bit applications.

If you have a 64-bit operating system installed, and are installing programs that are not nativly 64-bit, then they will be installed to the x86 folder automatically. Native 64-bit applications will install to the regular Program Files menu.

You can change which file the programs install into on most programs by selecting a custom install option.

ok, so they should all work fine though if they do get installed to the 32 bit folder right?

Yes, just fine, for the most part.

Some programs are not compatible with a 64-bit operating system though. I haven't run into one yet.
