    Need help with event viewer errors

    I have no Bsods, or issues with my machine;
    but it states this forum section is also for event viewer errors so here it goes:

    I have Windows 7 professional. I use it on my "home" PC, so its not connected to a domain or anything like that. Just laying that information out there.

    Here are my errors that appear in my event viewer often:

    The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
    {C97FCC79-E628-407D-AE68-A06AD6D8B4D1}
    and APPID
    {344ED43D-D086-4961-86A6-1106F4ACAD9B}
    to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

    Source is distributed Com.
    Event ID: 10016

    Doing research brings me to these webpages:

    Event ID 10016 ? COM Security Policy Configuration

    COM Security Policy Configuration

    My problem is I do not know how to find out what application is causing the error log, or what to do after getting into the com service snap in.

    I have no issues or problems with my machine, (Other then a second hard disk that failed on me recently, which I removed but the errors still appear, making it not related)

    I gather I need to modify permissions on an object, But I have no clue what the object is.

    I am not even sure if this is a big deal or if it even matters. This is the only errors in my event log, (other then the disk related ones) so I am not sure whats going on.

    If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

    System is clean from threats, I only have very few startup programs, and I'm not encounting any issues at all, just the event being recorded as Error. Not critical, just error.

    If it's not causing you problems, then to be honest I would worry about it. I've seen Event Log errors before which don't actually cause any problems.
