Delay before windows logo at boot.

    Hello,

So, i got a new pc, everything works fine except one thing:

There is a 5-6 seconds delay before the windows 7 logo shows up, something which is not present to any pc i made.
I have a smimilar pc on amd (like mine) where the delay is 0, it just boots>post>that underline for HDD checking>and windows logo.
for me it is: post>hdd checking>6 second delay>windows boot logo

the boot speed on 2 other pc's (one running a q6600 and one running a amd phenom x6) is about 16-17 and 15 for amd, also those 2 systems are outdated and on sata 1, a great speed for that hardware.
but, i have a similar pc with 8320 (like mine) booting in 12-13 seconds.
and my actual speed is of 22 seconds which is dissapointing.

been searching everywhere about this and tried almost everything from:
safemode boot, antivirus, display card instalation, msconfig stuff, services stuff, reinstalling 3 times (the delay is present even at first boot), windows repair, windows update, checkdisk, checking for viruses, booting on ssd alone, booting with Fast boot ON/OFF, no usb inputs.

    could anyone please help me?
    Thanks in advantage

    1. There is a possibility that the holdup is coming from the BIOS when checking the devices.

    2. The tru boot time you can find in Event Viewer. Drill down these steps:

    Eventvwr
    Applications and Service Logs
    Microsoft
    Windows
    Diagnostics - performance
    Operational
    Event ID 100

found an error, even tho it's not that recent

Session manager initialization caused a slow down in the startup process:
    Name : SMSSInit
    Total Time : 6623ms
    Degradation Time : 3740ms
    Incident Time (UTC) : ‎2013‎-‎10‎-‎10T08:47:08.936800800Z

and this is the last event id 100

    Windows has started up:
    Boot Duration : 23229ms
    IsDegradation : false
    Incident Time (UTC) : ‎2013‎-‎10‎-‎25T20:53:29.952400800Z

23 seconds it a bit too long

in a system i had nearby the boot duration was about 19000ms, so the delay is about 4 seconds and it really bothers me as i want to take advantage of the full potential.
also, the delay is at the Legacy Boot Event as my motherboard shows me when the delay is on

Establish a Clean Boot, test your hardware, use the recommended AV, go over install with the other Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 .

How does your install compare with the perfect install compiled in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7, particularly how drivers are handled in Win7, the tools and methods which get and keep a perfect install? You can stage this perfect baseline install as a Diagnostic install this way:

After testing the hardware, wipe the HD with Diskpart Clean Command during booted reinstall, then after install enable Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3) to do all rounds of Important and Optional Windows Updates, with requested reboots, going back to Check for more Updates until there are no more.

Test performance after only this is done, then move on to importing any missing drivers in Device Manager, testing performance after each.

Then install programs one at a time with plenty of time in between each to test performance.

This should reveal the cause, but if not you can always determine it with certainty by Gathering a Startup, Shutdown, Sleep, Hibernate, or Reboot Trace - Windows 7 Forums

yes it is on the one with intel q6600, but i've just deleted it now and rebooted to see if the trainer could cause this...but the delay is still there
