Clock losing time after every restart

    Hello all,

My PC is configured to use both windows 7 and linux (dual boot). Lately I am facing an issue with my windows.
Every time I restart the windows my clock looses time. I have searched internet for the answer and according to this post (3 Reasons Why Your Windows Computer Clock Loses Its Time) it can be caused by
    1. Cmos battery: I know this is not the case because my Linux manages to keep track of time.
    2. Time Zone: I have checked that the time zone is according to my country only.
    3. Malware or virus: I checked list of processes, I can't find any suspicious one.

Do you guys have any idea what is problem
I am thinking maybe it has something to do with read/write permission in system files of clock process, but I am not sure

If malware is a possible cause run Malwarebytes.

    Hi Gaurav, Welcome to Sevenforums.

As you mentioned that Linux is able to keep time. Still, I will suggest to change the CMOS battery and check. Also, check for malwares.
