R0746_10 (D) folder randomly showed up on my desktop. Can I delete it?

    Hi there,

A folder named "R0746_10 (D)" randomly showed up on my desktop recently. I've googled it and don't find any results that say what it is.

I'd like to delete it, but don't want to break any programs on my computer.

Do you know what this is? Is it safe to delete or is it needed for some program?

It showed up on my desktop, if that makes a difference, and has autorun and setup files in it which I'm not willing to run without knowing what they are.

Thanks in advance for any help or explanations.

Have you tried "right clicking" any of the files and looking at the properties?

    Hi Sir George,

I hadn't, but I did today after reading what you said.

The files that I clicked on say that the files were created in 2002, but it just showed up on my desktop.

Is there something I should be looking for in the properties that would let me know whether it's okay to delete them? Or whether I shouldn't? I don't think I even owned this computer in 2002.

    Best Regards,
    Salena
