Black screen of death after windows 7 pro installation

My name is Michelle and I recently bought a new desktop tower and monitor.
Recently I've tried to install Windows 7 Professional but during the installation process the screen went black but the tower is still running.
F8 for safe mode does not work and the screen remains black. We can't seem to find the problem as this is a brand new computer. Please help, we're desperate.
I've been to several forums with similar questions to see if there are suitable answers but I'm still stuck with a black screen and a tower that's running.
I'd really appreciate help!!!

Welcome Michelle

You have come to the right place. We have some of the best Halpers here in the World.
From your listed specs , it says it is a custom built desktop w/ a Z87-HD3 Motherboard & a Samsung SSD drive.
Good starting hardware. Can you tell us any more, Video card, memory, external plugged in hardware ?
When the computer first boots up, can you see a BIOS screen ? If you tap the DEL key, will it take you into the BIOS setup ?

EDIT: What kind of monitor ? Video connection, VGA, DVI, HDMI ?

Thanks for replying!
I used the VGA connection but kept coming up with no signal so I switched to the DVI connection.
We got rid of the black screen by taking out the external harddrive and taking out then reattaching the VGA card. However the problem remains that it still doesn't want to load windows.
I have upgraded my spec statistics for you to see.

How did you install win7 ? DVD or USB flash ? How far did it get thru the install ? Were you connected to the internet during the install to get any needed updates ?

This is for everyone who has the black screen of death because I've been on several forums where people have the same problems.
I had the Windows 7 Profressional disk and it went halfway through the installation when the screen went black. I left it, thinking it was part of the installation but after a few hours I went back to my computer to find it stuck that way. I reset my computer but nothing happened so I switched it off. I switched it back on and the computer's fans started running but the screen had a 'VGA NO SIGNAL' sign come up and the screen went black again.
I was connected to the internet.

Now that I've switched to DVI connection, removed the external harddrive and connected it again and also VGA card but attached it again. Now when we restart the computer two windows 7 prompts come up, the first one freezes my computer or goes to safe mode and the second one starts my computer normally but it's the unlienced copy of windows 7. I don't know what I'm doing here.

I think you need to leave the ext HD dis-connected. Do a clean new install of win7, by wiping the SSD drive first.

I've managed to get into my computer again but the thing is my local disk (C: ) has only 111GB memory and the (E: )drive has 1.81 TB. How does this work? Why is my (C: )drive so full?

C: is probably your SSD Samsung Drive & E: is your external.

I asume you want to install win7 to the SSD

Windows 7 Black Screen of Death (work around)
Was wondering if I installed windows 7 on an external and booted from the external then took off all my pics and stuff from the C: drive and then reformat the C: drive again. Think this is possible. FYI the only way to get my original windows 7 disc to even load was to remove my internal HDD.
