Why should I upgrade to Windows 8?

Well, the title says it all, why should I upgrade to Windows 8? I LOVE Windows 7, and what I basically do with my computer is mostly web developing, and gaming.

Would love to hear you views guys, Windows 7, by far, for me, is one of the best OS i've used, and yes I have tried linux and os x, (i worked for apple for a while) but because of the gaming I still go back to Windows.

    So, please, enlighten me. :)

I will be completely honest with you, in my opinion you shouldn't do it. Here's why:
->We are all used to the Windows NT interface and thus getting used to the Windows 8 interface takes time. (I know because I have asked many of my friends who made the mistake and have since reverted)
->While you would have access to many new features like Microsoft App Store, you would probably find it difficult to navigate the interface.
->It would be a much more complex process to do simple tasks like go to control panel, computer management and furthermore command prompt.
->The interface contains many hidden screen shortcuts, ie right side of screen for search, start; bottom left for start menu/desktop and thus it would be more difficult to get to the applications not installed through the Microsoft App Store.

These are just a few differences between W7 and W8; it is up to you nevertheless.

    Cheers

    you use the word should,
is someone forcing you to upgrade, if not remain doing what you are happy with.
i use windows 8.1, it was forced upon us as we upgraded a laptop as the old one broke.
however i will say, i prefer it now.
there is little difference to windows 7 as i use start 8 and modernix , yes there are glaring differences but the performance is better and i use the laptop for everything i used it for when i had win 7. my computing is not hindered in any way with 8.1.

that said, each to their own, one man's meat is another's poison ,as they say.
