Brightness buttons don't work

So recently I went to my laptop and I noticed the brightness was low. So I tried to turn it up. It failed.

I tried turning up the brightness through the Control Panel (Create a Power Plan) and it worked. How can I fix the buttons to work?

Huh, it got fixed magically. I had a battery under my laptop.

So strange how computers can sometimes be, huh?
