If not, try changing the icon size to small (uncheck the "Use large icons" option).
The option is located in the "Customise Start Menu" window (the window shown in AddRAM's post above).
Changing to small icons allows me to see all items. However, I want to have large icons and see them all. Maybe I can group similar start-menu items into folders and pin the folders? I already have some start-menu items that have these little blue arrows to clik on and a sub-menu appears. Is this idea do-able?

-thnx

You cannot really pin folders very well. If you want a bigger start menu, you have to get a bigger screen.

What's wrong with putting the stuff into a toolbar. Toolbars - How to Use in Windows 7 and Vista

Excellent idea! Watching your tutorial reminded me of a utility I use that I forgot I was using. It's called 7Stacks and I learned of it at this website. I will re-visit this and another utility I recently learned of. However, I will probably stick with your suggestion as I prefer to use stuff already built into the OS. We'll see and we can mark this solved.

Thanks to all!!

How many icons do you want to show ? Mine`s at 8, and I think 10 is plenty. Remember you can always click on All Programs to get to any program on your pc.

Since the Start Menu has a limitation I prefer the toolbar or a stacking utility with the taskbar's ease of access. As a result I find I can remove ALL of the pinned icons as a result. It 'seems' the whole 'Start' scenario could be eliminated. Can it be removed from the taskbar altogether?

Probably not.

Refer to new topic : Start Menu Mod.
