Disk Management will not create a partition in unallocated space
I cannot create partitions on any of my HDDs in Win 7, I can shrink or extend volumes. I have used Diskpart to clean Disk 0 after using Ubuntu to move all the files to an other disk
When I boot into Ubuntu 13.04 I can create NTFS partitions in unallocated space using Gparted and am able to populate them.
However this only shows in Win 7 as per the red arrow in the attached image and Diskpart cannot see any volume on the disk.
The above problems appeared after I deleted WIN 8 preview and lost a dual boot Win 7 on Disk 3.
I am quite willing to believe that I am doing something wrong at the moment, how do I get out of this problem?
I have a Win 7 rescue disk and an image of C:
