Windows mail in my pc with windows 7 pro

    Hi,
As other members I faced problems in trying to install Windows mail in my new pc with win 7.
I've changed the Windows mail folder, in " program", with the one got from my old PC ( with vista )but
no way to start with Windows mail .

Other forum on this matter, have mentioned the file, msoe.ddl , to chance it from the folder in vista to the one in win 7.

Do you have experience on this ?
How I can solve my probem ?

    Thanks,
    PG

Outlook Express is not compatible with Windows 7. If you want, you can download and install Microsoft's Live Mail. It's a "ribbon" app that closely resembles the rest of the newer Seven apps.

    @carwiz

Your link is very out of date. That is the 2011 version.

This is the link with the most recent update (2012) version:

    Thanks for replying,
I checked both window live vista and outlook, but at the end the best one for my job still remain Windows vista and I would like to continue to use it.
There are some tricks to do that ?

As already stated, You cannot use vista mail on windows 7. Technically you can but it causes a lot of issues and problems.

Windows live mail is the replacement, and works well. It is provided as a link in my post above.

If you want outlook, you need to purchase it:

    Like I said, I don't recommend it.

    But here it is:

How to Install Windows Mail and Windows Calendar on Windows 7

If you decide to do this, we can no longer assist you in this forum. I want to make that clear.

I also very much liked Windows Mail when I was using Vista, but as its been said, it will not work very well with Windows 7. Down load Windows Live Mail & get accustomed to it & I think you will find it works very well.

The only other Microsoft alternative for you is to purchase Outlook Mail which is also a very good mail program, but you have to buy it whereas Windows Live Mail is free.

I also tried some of the other free mail programs but I experienced set up problems & eventually settled on Windows Live Mail as it worked much better.
