Windows 7: Disk Management will not create a partition in unallocated space

Disk Management will not create a partition in unallocated space

I cannot create partitions on any of my HDDs in Win 7, I can shrink or extend volumes. I have used Diskpart to clean Disk 0 after using Ubuntu to move all the files to an other disk
When I boot into Ubuntu 13.04 I can create NTFS partitions in unallocated space using Gparted and am able to populate them.
However this only shows in Win 7 as per the red arrow in the attached image and Diskpart cannot see any volume on the disk.
The above problems appeared after I deleted WIN 8 preview and lost a dual boot Win 7 on Disk 3.
I am quite willing to believe that I am doing something wrong at the moment, how do I get out of this problem?
I have a Win 7 rescue disk and an image of C:

For working with partitions I use MiniTool Partition Wizard, which is free and can be downloaded from;

Best Free Partition Manager Freeware and free partition magic for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Vista and Windows XP 32 bit & 64 bit. MiniTool Free Partition Manager Software Home Edition.

Disks that have been dealt with in Linux are often a problem for Windows. For Disk0 I would make a complete reformat and then work from there.

Disc Management failure

Thanks WHS

I get this failure every time, even when I do a Diskpart Clean and start afresh with uninitialised disk and a reboot.

Hmm, that I have never seen. Try a sfc /scannow. Then we can see whether there are any system files on the blink.

I am out of ideas.

Btw. Why did you make a seperate partition for the pagefile on the SSD. I don't think that buys you anything.
