Step by step upgrading questions

Hi, so im getting an Harddrive and a new gpu for my old desktop, i will later upgrade the cpu, mobo, ram and the case, i know that the GTX 660 im getting will get bottlenecked from the 2.4 ghz tripplecore cpu and about that im having some questions, Will the bottleneck do any sort of damage on the hardware in the computer? and should i clock the asus gtx 660 down a bit to lower the bottleneck to the point that im seeing the gpu performance starts to sink a little bit, so i will get the max performance without bottleneck and getting the card run quieter and cooler? is this a good idea to do?

You worry too much. There will be no bottleneck. It will work fine.

Welll the stock cooler on the cpu is awesome and at full load it never hits more than 40degrees c only problem is that the cpu is not unlocket so ill have to overvoltage it to overclock it and i have never overcloced before soo... if you can see any overclocking possiblilities on a phenom x3 2.4ghz 8750(i think it is) non black edition please tell me

I checked out some, some guys got the cpu to 3.0ghz with the stock cooler never hitting over 45c and it was very stable, and they saw that the cpu had a fourth core locked.. and they did this with a non black edition, soo i might whant a tutorial on overclocking heres the link btw
