How to show files on top

In Downloads, I sort items by date modified in descending order. Until yesterday it was showing files on top and then folders(which I wanted). But yesterday suddenly it changed and now it is showing folders first and then files. How to solve this issue? Please help.

    Hi Rohit, Welcome to Sevenforums.

    try this.

    1) Type gpedit.msc in the Start menu’s search box and then press Enter.
    2) Navigate to User Configuration>Administrative Templates>Windows Components, and then select Windows Explorer in the left column of the Group Policy editor.
    3) Double-click Turn off numerical sorting in Windows Explorer in the Settings section of the Group Policy editor.
    4) Select Enable and then click OK to save the changes.

    Hi archer,
I am using Windows 7 Home Basic and I get message 'No items match your search' when I search for gpedit.msc
Is there any other way to user config?
Please help me, I am still stuck with this problem.

    Hi George,
Numeric sort is already disabled and that's not my problem.
    Thanks though.
