Help me with my Win 7 64 download from Digital River

Ok, so I was finally able to get the main Expanded Setup file extracted.

But now I still have the 3 original files on my desktop... what do I do with them?

Also my expandedsetup file is this large:

    Size: 3.01 GB (3,239,836,668 bytes)

Size on disk: 3.01 GB (3,241,648,128 bytes)

    Contains: 874 files, 199 folders

But doesnt it need to be 3.02 or something? So did I download a bad version? Or do I have it all for 7 64?

Hello Johnny, and welcome to Seven Forums.

This tutorial will help show you how to create a ISO file from this and burn it to a DVD to use to install Windows 7 with it.

Make bootable iso from student d/l

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

You can keep them somewhere safe, if you like - in case you lose your dvd and .iso - pretty unlikely.

The extendedsetup and oscdimg.exe is all that is required to make another .iso if needed.

Good idea to keep a copy of the .iso you already made - or make another copy of the dvd as a backup - just in case.

Ok awesome, CMD is 100% now, now I'm off to burn via imgburn

Question, how big does the partition need to be? I'm running a dual boot system & want to make sure I give it enough. I think I have 51g set aside for my windows partition.

Also, when do I run the program Easy Transfer in XP 32 to bridge certain programs to Win 7 64?

Also, I'm burning the file that is now called:

    7
    Image Files
    3,168,290 KB

    Right?

    Johnny,

Windows 7 64-bit only requires 20GB for itself, but you will need to add some space for any installed programs that you may want.

I'm afraid that I do not know how to use Easy Transfer though.

Hi Johnny, I am not sure using XP transfer will work well.

I would use a free 3rd party app. instead

You might try 7 WET as per the tutorial or if not, GFI :
