    Dell XPS Laptop won't turn on...


    I was just wondering before I throw it out , can this Laptop be fixed?

    Could be software or hardware...Maybe Battery,maybe BIOS.Take it to the shop you bought it.Maybe they'll fix it...

    No I wan't to be able to fix it on my own without taking it to a shop.

    That's too advanced for me...I would take it to the shop to make sure I did not make any mistakes

    You could take the HDD out and put in another machine to see if its dead or not. If its good then you could try reflashing the bios. Could be a dead monitor also. How hardware comfortable are you? I mean about taking the machine apart? Check the cables leading to the screen. You could take the memory out and try it in another machine also.

    If you end up trashing it...... go ahead and try taking it apart anyway, for the experience if nothing else. Any idea how it got in this condition? Dropped? Water? Knowing these would help figure it out.

    I don't mind taking the old laptop apart , however removing my current Laptop I am not to comfortable. I honestly can't remember how it got in this condition.
