Preview box when you hover toolbar icons disappeared?

Ok when you hover over the icons in the tool bar, they used to show a mini thumbnail preview picture of what that program was... but now it doesnt do it any more?

I dont think I changed anything?

How do I get this effect back?

The main one at the bottom... where all the programs show up when you have them open & where you have your quick deploy icons

It used to have a thumbnail preview picture when you hovered the mouse, now that effect isnt there.

    The Taskbar you mean :)
Right click the desktop & choose Personalise, make sure the Aero theme is enabled and transparency is also enabled.

You could also try and adjust some of the settings in the Advanced system settings (Right click 'Computer' and choose properties).

Just one more suggestion for the moment, try merging this registry file.
    Attachment 32966
All it does it resets the mousehovertime value to default. (just eliminates 1 more thing )

Wait you know what, I did install IntelliMouse Software by Microsoft for my wireless mouse

So I'm going to assume that changed it

    Any ideas now?

If you don't have an Aero theme enabled, the taskbar previews won't show, if you don't see the same windows color and appearance box pop up, you don't have an Aero theme enabled.
Did you try the advanced system settings or the registry file?
