Deleted Favorite or Not? I'm running Windows 7 x64 (7000) and usually when I delete a URL from my list of Favorites, it reappears at the bottom! Does this happen to anyone else? | My System Specs |

Hi Tom,
Welcome to the Seven Forums.
Doesn't seem to be happening here. If you close favorites and open it back up, is it still there?

Gary Yes, it's back permanently until I delete it again. Some times I have to delete it two or three times before it's gone for good! | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Homebrew OS Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 (2.66 GHz) Motherboard Intel DG965WH Memory 8 GB Graphics Card ATI 2600 XT Sound Card SigmaTel 9271 Monitor(s) Displays Dell SE198WFP 19" Widescreen LCD Screen Resolution 1440 x 900 Keyboard Microsoft Digital Media Pro Mouse Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical PSU Thermaltake 750 W Cooling 2-80 mm, 1-120 mm Hard Drives 3 Maxtor 500 GB SATA II Internet Speed Cable 1.5 Mbps |

Are you doing the deleting from IE or are you in the Favorites folder in Win Explorer? Might be something to do with IE.

I keep all my folders (Downloads, Desktop, Favorites, etc.) on a drive separate from my Win 7 install, using the Location tab in Properties to relocate them. If I have to do a clean reinstall, it's so much easier that way. One clue is that if I delete the URL from the Favorite folder directly and empty the trash, it doesn't reappear. There's probably a bug in IE8. The only thing I don't understand is why it's only happening to me!

That entire favorites thing is just a mess from what I'am seeing. I have vanishing favicons all the time and also my sign in cookies vanish for no reason. I had no such problems with Vista on my other partition so it's a Windows 7 problem all the way. I would think they could fix these types of problems with an update so we can only hope that more people complain about it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built OS Windows 7 Ult, Windows 8 Pro, CPU Q9650-4.275GHz, E8600 4.5GHz, E6750-3.8GHz Motherboard Evga 780i FTW Memory G.Skill PC2 9600 1200Mhz 5 5 5 15 2T Graphics Card GTX480 Sound Card Asus Xonar D2 Monitor(s) Displays HannsG Screen Resolution 1680X1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Logitech G9 PSU ThermalTake Toughpower 1000Watt modular Case ThermalTake XaserV Cooling Xigmatek S1283 Hard Drives GSkill Phoenix Pro 120GB SSD Internet Speed T1 |

Hi chev65,
That's what Beta testing is all about, the best thing is to provide feedback using the built in facility and it should be fixed before the final release.
Whether this actual issue is with 7 or IE8 the reporting of the issue should get to the correct team at MS.
Although Windows 7 is a stable piece of software, as a beta problems will show up | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Real World Computing (Me + a little help from Acer) OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 + x86 + Windows 8 x64 CPU AMD Phenom II X6 1035T 2.6 GHz Motherboard Aspire M3400 Memory 4Gb PC10600 DDR3 1333 MHz Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 315 512MB Sound Card OnBoard - Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Philips 32" HDTV, (HDMI) + 26" TV (VGA) Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 @60Hz + 1360 x 768 @60Hz Keyboard Microsoft Wireless 800 or Stock Acer, (depends where I sit) Mouse Microsoft Wireless 800 or Stock Acer, (depends where I sit) PSU Stock (400W) Case Acer M3400 Cooling Stock Hard Drives 500 GB Seagate ST3500418AS SATA II

Of course I have reported this problem in great detail to Microsoft. It will be nice if an update comes along and it fixes this problem. Looks like favorites has some strange behavior in general but I'am sure it's fixable. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built OS Windows 7 Ult, Windows 8 Pro, CPU Q9650-4.275GHz, E8600 4.5GHz, E6750-3.8GHz Motherboard Evga 780i FTW Memory G.Skill PC2 9600 1200Mhz 5 5 5 15 2T Graphics Card GTX480 Sound Card Asus Xonar D2 Monitor(s) Displays HannsG Screen Resolution 1680X1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Logitech G9 PSU ThermalTake Toughpower 1000Watt modular Case ThermalTake XaserV Cooling Xigmatek S1283 Hard Drives GSkill Phoenix Pro 120GB SSD Internet Speed T1 Deleted Favorite or Not? problems?
