well, how hard it is to take apart is very different between all models, he said he wasnt to good in the computer world, so for him it may be pretty tricky..

Some laptops require you to take apart everything, and some are just having a little cover thats screwed down with four screws or somthing.

Alright lads, it's time to get back on this topic.

After going home the problem suddenly stopped and I didn't experience this issue for a long time until recently. It is now worse than ever but I have also managed to locate some sort of pattern for it.

* It never ever happends if any game is running. It has still never ever frozen whilst I've had a game running.
* The laptop is freezing regardless of temperature, this way I am sure it is not an overheating problem. I had just started my laptop today and it froze within the first 3-5 minutes.
* I'm currently on safe-mode and it does not freeze while I'm typing this. So I guess we could assume it's a driver or software problem?

I could also add that I never disassembled the laptop as the problem does not seem to be hardware related.

The question is what I do.. I still need help guys, this is driving me nuts.

Ha like i told them.. not a overheating problem :P
anyhow my new desktop does this too but not very often at all but on that computer my psu is faulty.. like very seriously. For you, if you havent already, try this:
1: Update the gpu drivers ( if you have a nVidia card get Geforce Experience, it auto checks for updates.
(this may fix it but proboably not judging by the "never freezes while gaming")
2: Check your windows update and try to refresh and see if it has new updates
3: ( can be risky and tricky but can fix a lot of problems) Find out what motherboard you have and try downloading nessecary drivers and even a bios update ( theese can be found on the computers website, like asus's, hp, compaq, msi, dell etc...
bios update can fix alot

So it's time to end this thread.

I've concluded that the problem indeed was a heat-related issue. The freezes where due to the cpu and the gpu being basically fried and thereafter malfunctioning as a result of earlier overheating, meaning when we discovered that something was wrong the damage was already done and it was only a matter of time until the cpu is no longer working. What I could do is either replace the entire cooling system in the laptop and the cpu and hope that it'll work, or simply take what's left to take from the laptop and end it there, I've chosen the latter.

Upon disassembling the laptop I found a large portion of dust tucked in small "pockets", preventing air flow and trapping heat. What I could of done is to disassemble it regularly to clean it properly. Blowing through the air vents with compressed air or similar actions would have helped, but it probably would not prevent the ending result, only postpone it.

I've learnt a lot from this problem and the four months I've tried to solve it. At least I know what to expect from a laptop hereafter, and what not to. Thanks for the help nevertheless.

TL;DR: CPU fried due to heat issues since way earlier than when the problem was discovered. Disassembling the laptop and cleaning it out of pure habit would of helped.
