Need some help PC is freezing ALOT

My Specs:

CPU - AMD 9590 4.71 ghz
GPU - Radeon 7970HD
Mobo - ASUS Sabertooth R2.0 990fx
RAM - G.Skill RipjawsX 8GB 1866 DDR3
Cooler - H60

Okay I built this PC less than 3 months ago and it is now freezing when gaming or sometimes just when surfing the web. I have ran Virus scans Malware scans and Memtest86 and no errors show. I'm extremely new to computers so any advice would be extremely helpful.

Thanks,

PHILLIES SMOKE

Is Windows fully updated? Are all the manufacturer drivers up to date?

When you built the PC, there should have been a DVD accompanying the motherboard - it contains critical system drivers. Did you install those?

Perform a Windows Update.

Lets check for system file corruptions.

1. Click Start
2. In the search box, type cmd
3. In the list that appears, right-click on cmd.exe and choose Run as administrator
4. In the command window that opens, type sfc /scannow and hit enter.

Report the output from the command window once it finishes.

Could we start by completely filling out your system specs in the UserCP please. If you want to know what we are looking for, click my system specs at the bottom left of this post. You will see mine. That is more of what we need. This will help you System Info - See Your System Specs

Have you updated your Graphics drivers and when and how long did you run memtest86+. It needs to be run for 8 passes to do a complete test. When running it, your are looking for errors in the ram, but also in the dimm slots. It is best run overnight as it will take several hours to run. this can help RAM - Test with Memtest86+.

You can look up your motherboard on Asus' web site and download updated drivers from there. They will be much more current than the ones on the driver CD.

Also have you been keeping track of your CPU and GPU temps?

I ran the memtest86+ for about 5 hours and it made 5 passes I've been using CPUID to keep an eye on my temps. I having trouble figuring out how to work the new drivers for my mobo because they come in a CAP file.
