A way to trigger the restart of a program if no internet activity

    Good Day

I was searching google and other websites for a solution. My problem is my vpn program stops sending and receiving data(Not Hanging) ramdomly. Then i need to manually stop and start the connection in the vpn program. The vpn program have the option of starting the connection on start up. I have created batch files to terminate and start the vpn program. What i need is some windows program that rely on a internet connection to log an event in event viewer if no internet connectivity detected and then use that event in task scheduler to trigger the batch files. I only found one program which is windows media center(which is working) but it only checks for updates every hour and when windows media center updates failed then it only log it with event viewer and trigger the batch files.

Any help would be much appreciated

    Thank You

    Hello,

    Welcome to Seven Forums.

Take a look at ping monitor Free version.
You didn't say if the internet was not responding, disconnecting or something else.
Ping Monitor allows you to set up 1 or more destinations that are pinged repeatedly. If no response is received within a predefined time, you can trigger the running of another program, send an email, and do other stuff.

You can find it here... Ping Monitor - Free Network Ping Monitoring Tool

    hth.
