New Computer Freezes Runs Slow Please Help (HP AIO 6000 Pro)

Hey All

i am hoping this forum is active, i am an IT pro so dont be afraid to bounce technical stuff off of me

I have a new HP 6000 PRO i just got about a week or so ago, right off the bat when i got it out of the box it was blue screening every 12 hours or so for no reason, so i reformatted it and installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bit in it, but it doesnt seem to run as snappy as it should, i am hesitant to install anything major in it until i know its running right, the BSOD is gone now and all the drivers are showing updated and the right versions, also the only real issue is a "pulse freezing" the best way to describe it is if im typing a message like this the words dont show up and the cursor stops blinking, when it comes back 30 seconds later or so the words i were typing come flying out on the screen, this happens if i click links as well as if i try to submit a form, the main complaint is coming from google chrome, however once when it froze i tried to open the start menu and noticed it wasnt responding either for that pulse moment

I do have a wireless keyboard and mouse but to my knowledge they are synced correctly and the batteries are all good

I come to you all in the hopes i might have missed something and i didnt get ripped off by buying this AIO, as of now this pc is not productive in the least and i wont install software on it till i get to the bottom of the pulsing which it just did again!

I would hook a wired keyboard and mouse and see if you still have the problem. Let us know.

might not be so simple i just moved here and i hve VERY LIMITED pc hardware in this new place, i do have a rollout usb keyboard that i can plug in if that will work, some of the keys dont work but for testing purposes i guess i could do it, oh btw i already had deinstalled the mouse i have a USB OPTICAL wired mouse running, i didnt like the wireless one, only thing that transmitter is using is the keyboard, i guess pulses could be coming from that as well who knows

Im going to post up a screenshot of the cursor during the freeze if i can catch it in action

The most obvious is the wireless keyboard. You can go to the local computer store and pickup a keyboard for $10. It is worth a try.
