Help - Doc wants to resize HD partitions

I have not done this in several years. I need to resize the partitions on a friends laptop. I don't want to mess it up. Ok, so C: has a lot of extra free space. E: is basicly full and that is where Win7 wants to put it's restore points when doing win7 Updates. I want to shrink C: then expand the unallocated space to E: I will use Partition Wizard, but I want to confirm the steps, so it works on the first attempt. Here are the Snips

E shouldn't be getting used for anything Doc, why are the restore points going there?

I guess somebody set it up that way. Should I just change it to somewhere on the C: drive.

I would. What else is on E to fill it up?

    That's a Fat32 partition.

Maybe just turning it off for that partition will clear it up.

System Restore Configuration - Enable or Disable

And make sure it is enabled for C.

You can't just turn it off on E and enable C

That's not for restore points anyway, that's windows backup.

This will get you to the window I posted above,

The window will look like this. Mine are all off because I don`t use system restore. :) Click configure to make the changes.

    Looking at OP Post #1
Why does screen print 1 show "Local Disk (Q)" and screen print 2 show "SYSTEM" with no drive letter ?
Is that normal/usual, or does that indicate some issue?

I have multi-boot PCs and I don't see it this way...
If I don't have a drive letter assigned to a partition, that partition isn't displayed in "Explorer/Computer".
