Search Program Recommendations ? And Getting System Permission To Del

Hello,

a. Might anyone suggest a free "good" SEARCH program similar to Agent Ransack ?
The W7 one is quite poor, IMHO.

Agent Ransack is good, very good, but it will not allow me to Delete a zillion old files that it found and that I would like to purge.

b. Also, some of them, when I do try to Delete them, says SYSTEM permission Required.
They are in the System Folder, but I definitely know that they can be purged safely.
How do I get System Permission to do so ?

Thanks,
Bob

Have you tried running Agent Ransack as admin?

Need XP-style search program to replace the Windows Seven search
I will only buy one, if I have no choice, but I do not feel that I should have to in order to replace something that came with Windows 7 and should have worked in the first place. Everything is not anything close to the search interface that was in Windows XP. I tried Google. All of the...

As with many others, I get the typical UAC pop-up asking if I'll grant permission... However, I no longer use a specifc program so there's no reason to grant permission for it to make changes on my computer. How can I permanently deny permission to this one program so that the annoying pop-up...

How to undo permission for a specific program?
I know that the answer to my question is easy, but when it comes to working with Permissions, I am an absolute dud. Anyway, I have two programs that I want to have open automatically when I boot up, Thunderbird and Maxthon. I have placed their shortcuts into the Startup folder. They do open, but...

Program shortcut requires UAC permission?
I have a desktop icon for opening CorelPaint Shop Pro Photo XI that has a yellow security sheild on it (not the case for 10 other program shortcuts). Executing the shortcut brings up an "Unknown Publisher" UAC warning. Not a show stopper but annoying as all get out. I have been playing with the...
