    Extremely aggravated - Help?

I thought I would take advantage of this deal for students. 29.99. Well, I should have known that for a cheap price I was only going to set myself up for anger and frustration. I purchased with DigitalRiver (Windows 7 US Online Store - Student Registration) I will admit, I downloaded Pro when I needed Home Prem. My fault, yes. It's been 24 hours and no response from them. I then get alerted about another transaction that went through with Digital River. So now I have two transactions, one for 30.36 and the other for 36.53. When I only authorized the 36.53 one. Once again, there is NO way to contact these people. I finally used an email that was listed inside my student e-mail. This is horrible service! I was very excited to use Win 7 but this company is ruining my view on all of it and I don't even want to be bothered by it. I just wanted to upgrade to Win 7. Not have to deal with all this!!

Why do you need Home Premium instead of Professional? Professional offers more for the same price.

Regarding the other transacrion, if you don't get any response, you may be able to contact your payment provider.

Well I purchased the Pro upgrade. I will admit, I was excited and over looked the compatibility and I can't upgrade Vista Home Prem. to Win 7 Pro. I read I can do a custom install which will allow a clean install of Win 7 Pro?

Yes you want to do a Custom install, by launching the installer from your current OS.

i think digitalriver is only an upgrade version. you should see if you can cancel that order and call up microsoft store instead and ask for student discount. They offer it for $29.99 and its the full version with upgrade and custom install

Try calling this number instead 952-253-1234. Got some info from a couple of student friends of mine that they changed numbers, though i did not get the reason why

and yes you can also call Microsoft Store: 1800-936-5700 they will assist you with the full version for the same price

You should be happy to get Pro as it's got a lot more features than HP. I would take it and be happy to do a clean install which is better anyway.

I think he is complaining about Digital River handling of the distribution.

I reckon Digital River have done a good job overall - that is an enormous undertaking.
