Recent places folder, why won't it show a folder that I was just in>

I like the recent places folder, but it does not always seem to display some folders that I know I was just in.

Why does it do this?

Yeah that got it, thanks.

I have a crap load of folders in there like WLM4567.tmp etc

How are these cleared? I mean if I had it set to 10 folders, why didn't it loop around and drop the older folders off to allow the new recent places folder in?

Can I just delete the folders in my "recent places" folder, or will that actually delete those folders?

"Recent Places" folder always empty
I'm Running Windows 7 64 bit, Home Premium, fully updated. On my laptop (64 bit Win7), "Recent Items" works properly, showing all docs I've opened only (no folders, as it should be). The taskbar Jumplists for each program also show recent docs opened in that program. The "Recent Places"...

Folder shows in Recent Places, but not when navigating directly to it
This is on my mom's laptop. It has a fresh Win 7 install on it about four or five months old. It has very little 3rd party software installed on it. Avast, Office 2007, Firefox, Irfanview, and her HP printer/scanner driver are about all I can think of. A couple of weeks ago she created a new...
