Startup Repair Infinite Loop Problem

I came home to this infinite loop problem, and well of course I try to look up a tutorial. I reached this point of the stage in the tutorial and didn't know whether I should continue.

Now you need to check if you can use the automatic Windows backups to restore your registry:
Type CD RegBack and press <ENTER> to go to the RegBack folder.
Type DIR and press <ENTER> to view the contents of the folder. All the following files must exist:
The DEFAULT, SAM and SECURITY files should each be about 262,000 bytes in size.
The SOFTWARE file should be about 26,000,000 bytes.
The SYSTEM file should be about 9,900,000 bytes.
The file sizes presented here are approximate estimations, and may vary depending on your system. If any one of them are 0 bytes, then you should stop what you're doing now and seek an alternative method of recovering your system, because Windows cannot function with a 0-byte size registry hive.
The problem I reached is that my values seem way off. They return 229,376 bytes for DEFAULT, 61,440 bytes for SAM, and 24,576 bytes for SECURITY. The other ones are sitting at about 65,900,000 bytes and 18,000,000 bytes respectively.

At this point, I don't know whether I should continue or just get someone to help me with this problem. Of course, this is why I came onto the forums. Also I didn't want to append this to that thread because I don't want to add on some nonsense

Thanks guys. ^_^

Definitely continue on.

I had the same problem when I used this a few weeks ago yet it worked fine. Even now, my Win 7 system looks like this for Regback:

Code:
01/09/2014 12:51 AM 188,416 DEFAULT
01/09/2014 12:51 AM 28,672 SAM
01/09/2014 12:51 AM 28,672 SECURITY
01/09/2014 12:51 AM 47,345,664 SOFTWARE
01/09/2014 12:51 AM 14,073,856 SYSTEM
