Add-Remove, problem
When I tried to uninstall a program, Revouninstaller could not see the program (addintools.com "Classic Toolbar for Excel 2010")
The only option was to use Control Panel > Add Remove Programs. (ARP)
The program was listed in ARP but not in Revouninstaller.PC specs:Used ARP to uninstall, but at finish an alert (I did not capture the message) because I assumed CCleaner would detect dead files.
Win7 x64
MS Office 2010 x32-bit
• I believe free Revouninstaller only "sees" 32-bit (?), but I assumed with Office as 32-bit classic-toolbar would also be 32-bit)
• maybe a lesson in letting the moths out of my wallet and buy Revouninstaller Pro
Words to the effect:- some "items" will have to be removed manually ... (not a lot of help!)
"C:\Program Files\Classic Toolbar" folder is gone.
But CCleaner produced a list of dead entries, but not any (that I can see) for ClassicToolbar/addintools
log ccleaner 2014-01-30.txt
Two questions:
- CCleaner, looks like most of the items are .lnk (links) in a temp folder
Can the ~temp~.lnk entries be removed
CCleaner only does a blanket clean, I know "exceptions" can be set
I am considering copying the log to Excel and using code to loop through the list and evaluate .lnk files.- I assume the only other housekeeping is the registry ?
Would appreciate your thoughts or suggestions, thank you :)
